National Spirit Ignited: 80th Independence Day Logo to Be Unveiled

President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, is scheduled to launch the theme and logo for the 80th Independence Day at the Presidential Palace in Central Jakarta today, Friday, July 18, 2025. The announcement was made by Deputy Minister of State Secretariat, Juri Ardiantoro.
“God willing, on Friday, July 18, the President will officially launch the theme and logo for the 80th Independence Day,” Juri told reporters. He emphasized that the event would mark the start of nationwide preparations for the celebration.
Following the launch, Juri said the central government, regional administrations, and the public are encouraged to display the official logo. The logo will be used on various outdoor media and in strategic locations across the country.
“This initiative is meant to inspire national enthusiasm, and the public is invited to take part by putting up the logo and theme,” he added. The launch event is designed to foster unity and excitement ahead of Independence Day.
Juri explained that the logo and theme unveiling will take place at the Presidential Palace. Several government ministers and the logo designer will be in attendance.
“The President has invited key ministers, the logo designer, and other relevant figures to participate in the launch ceremony,” Juri said. The event is expected to highlight Indonesia’s spirit of innovation and unity.
In previous statements, Hasan Nasbi, Head of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), confirmed the main celebration on August 17 will be held in Jakarta. This decision reflects the government's plan to centralize the national festivities.
Hasan stated that the organizing committee for the 80th Independence Day has already been established by the Ministry of State Secretariat. He noted that PCO plays an active role within this committee.
“According to the latest information we have, the August 17 ceremony will take place in Jakarta,” Hasan said during a press briefing in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, June 16, 2025. Preparations are currently underway to ensure a meaningful and memorable event.
As the country approaches its 80th year of independence, the government aims to engage citizens nationwide through shared symbols and celebrations. The launch of the theme and logo marks the beginning of a month-long patriotic campaign.
